Souheil Adra

Souheil Adra, MD FACS ABOM, currently serves as the Director of Obesity Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton since May 2023. In addition to this role, Souheil holds several positions at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, including Interim Program Director and Interim Director of the Bariatric Surgery Program. Souheil also serves as the Associate Program Director for the Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship Program. Since April 2018, Souheil has been the Chief HMFP Surgeon at BID Hospital Milton and the Director of the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Program. Previous roles include Chief of the Section of General Surgery and Interim Chair of Surgery at Bristol Hospital from July 2015 to March 2018, and various surgical residency positions including a Trauma Surgery Fellowship at Hartford Hospital. Souheil completed medical education at the American University of Beirut, earning an M.D. and a B.S. in Biology, following a French Baccalaureate from the College Protestant Francais in Beirut.
