Kurt has a strong background in capital planning, design and construction, and is skilled in developing and managing complex budgets.
At Nuance Communications, Kurt led a team of nearly 50 people responsible for providing a safe, secure, and environmentally sound workplace across all of Nuance's 75+ global locations. Kurt was responsible for driving and leading the tactical and strategic activities of the real estate & facilities department, overseeing all capital planning and construction projects, and developing initiatives to improve quality of service.

Kurt Ochalla has a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Kurt also has an MBA in Real Estate Finance from the University of Connecticut School of Business. In addition, they have received certification from CoreNet Global in Mentor, SLCR, and SLCR (Senior Leader Corporate Real Estate). Kurt is also certified by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Massachusetts Brokers License. Finally, they have received certification from CoreNet Global as a MCR (Master of Corporate Real Estate).
