James Rawson is an experienced radiologist currently serving as the Radiology Vice Chair of Operations and Special Projects at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center since August 2018. Prior to this role, James held the position of Warren Professor and Chair of Radiology at Georgia Regents University from March 2000 to March 2017, where the Radiology Department emphasized clinical practice, education, and research. Additional leadership experience includes serving as Chair of the HOPPS/APC Committee at the American College of Radiology from 2004 to 2015. James has completed a Body MRI Fellowship at Washington University/Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology and has extensive training as a Radiology Resident, including Senior Chief Resident, at New York Medical College. Early career experience includes an internship at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital. James holds an MD from Tufts University School of Medicine and a BS in Chemistry, Religion, and Biology from Tufts University.
