Liz Callanan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in development and philanthropy, currently serving as the Director of Development at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center since July 2018. Previously, Liz held the role of Senior Major Gift Officer at Harvard University, where successful fundraising efforts led to the establishment of a University Chair in honor of Ray A. Goldberg. Liz's earlier positions include Director of Development at the International Museum of World War II and the Whitehead Institute at MIT, as well as co-founding Santa Claus Anonymous, which focused on raising funds for youth programs in Boston. Liz has also contributed to corporate relations at the Museum of Science and The MathWorks, alongside roles in marketing and human resources in earlier career stages. Liz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College and has pursued further education at Boston College and Harvard Graduate School of Education.
