Collection Curator at Bethlem Gallery

Amisha Karia is an accomplished professional in the museum and cultural sector, currently serving as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Leicester, focusing on culture-led wellbeing as part of an ESRC Award. Karia is also the Collection Curator at Bethlem Gallery, where the development of an art collection for display is a primary responsibility. As a Trustee for both the Collections Trust and the Beecroft Bequest, Karia contributes to the governance and strategy of these organizations. Previously, Karia held key roles including Fundraising & Partnerships Manager at Bethlem Gallery & Museum of Mind, and Head of Collection, Loans & Programming at Paintings in Hospitals. Karia’s educational background includes a PhD in Museology/Museum Studies and several degrees from the University of Leicester and De Montfort University.
