Valencia Gallon-Stubbs

Valencia Gallon-Stubbs serves as the General Counsel at Bethune-Cookman University since January 2018, providing legal advice to the President, Cabinet, and Board of Trustees on complex legal issues, managing external attorneys, and successfully negotiating over 700 contracts. Prior roles include Deputy Counsel/Director of Human Resources at the same institution, where compliance with federal and state laws was ensured, and Managing Attorney at Florida Rural Legal Services, where advocacy for low-income clients was emphasized. Additional experience includes serving as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Riviera Beach, Associate at Brown & Associates, and holding multiple legal positions primarily focused on litigation, compliance, and contract negotiation.
