Aleksander Mjakonkihh

Aleksander Mjakonkihh has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Aleksander is currently working as the Director of Risk and Market Expansion at betPawa since July 2022. Prior to this, they were the Head of Compliance at the same company from April 2022 to July 2022.

Before joining betPawa, Aleksander worked at Aire, a credit assessment service. Aleksander held the position of Senior Business Operations Manager from November 2020 to April 2022. In this role, they built and led efficient business and product operations in the UK and US, mentored team members, managed relationships with third-party suppliers and vendors, and made significant savings through contract renegotiations. Aleksander also contributed to finance forecasting models and processes, improved AWS infrastructure, and led the Business Infrastructure cross-functional team to improve efficiency. Aleksander played a vital role in information security, ensuring compliance with regulations, and obtaining ISO certifications. Additionally, they initiated HR process improvements.

Earlier in their career, Aleksander worked as an Intern at PwC in the Management Consulting - Technology, Media & Telecoms Division in 2013 and at RBS Markets and International Banking as an RBS Global Banking & Markets Intern in 2012.

Aleksander Mjakonkihh completed their education with a degree in Economics and Business with Eastern European Studies and Year Abroad from UCL in 2014. In 2013, they also pursued studies in Economics at the Higher School of Economics and the University of Warsaw. Before attending university, Aleksander obtained the International Baccalaureate from Impington 6th Form College in 2010. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in "AWS Certified Security - Specialty" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2021 and "Dan Ariely on Making Decisions" from LinkedIn in 2022.
