Nina Martinez

Nina Martinez, CPA, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nina currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Better Choice Company (BTTR), starting in August 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Interim Chief Financial Officer at the same company from April to August 2023.

Before joining Better Choice Company, Nina held the position of Director at ONE10 from January 2022 to August 2023. Nina also had a significant tenure at PwC, starting as an Assurance Intern from January to March 2013. Nina then progressed through the ranks, serving as Experienced Associate from August 2014 to June 2018, Senior Associate from July 2018 to June 2020, Assurance Manager from June 2020 to April 2021, and Manager - National Quality Organization from April 2021 to January 2022.

Nina gained additional experience through internships and leadership roles at HSN, Bloomberg LP, ALPFA UCF, Prospera USA (formerly HBIF), Marwen Ingeniería, and Universidad de Jaén. Nina held roles such as Internal Audit Intern, Campus Ambassador/Regional Team Leader, Chapter President, Business Development Intern, International Department Intern (Spain), and English Business Instructor (Spain).

Through their various roles and experiences, Nina has developed a diverse skill set and a strong understanding of financial management, assurance, and business development.

Nina Martinez, CPA, holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Accounting, which they obtained from the University of Tampa in 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting at the University of Central Florida, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Nina has acquired additional certifications. In June 2018, they became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and received this certification from the Florida Board of Accountancy. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in Human-Centered Design from PwC in July 2020.
