Joshua Excell

Joshua Excell has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Joshua started their career as a Labourer at BBS Construction in 2014. In 2015, they briefly worked as a Customer Advisor at Argos. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Quality Control Assistant at BBI Solutions, where they gained experience in QC and stability testing of purified proteins.

In 2018, Joshua joined Covance as a QC Analyst II, where they utilized analytical biochemistry techniques to conduct testing of biopharmaceuticals for stability studies and batch release. Joshua gained valuable experience working in a regulated GMP environment in the pharmaceutical industry.

From 2019 to 2021, Joshua worked at Avacta in several roles. As a Research Associate 2, they planned and executed experimental plans to test and validate Avacta's Affimer affinity proteins. Joshua also served as an Assay Development Scientist, where they identified problem areas and planned research and development work to get devices working. During this role, they supported QA in obtaining ISO13485 certification. Additionally, they took part in a secondment scheme as a Scientist in Therapeutics, where they gained experience in cell culture, ELISA, SEC-HPLC, DNA purification, transfection, and protein production in mammalian cell lines.

Currently, Joshua is working as a Scientist - Analytics at Better Dairy, starting in March 2023.

Joshua Excell received their bachelor's degree in Biomedicine from the University of East Anglia, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Maidstone Grammar School for Girls from 2010 to 2012, although the information about their degree and field of study during that period is not available.
