Michael also worked as a Community Care Specialist at BMS Interactive and as a Strategic Alliance Manager at Uniting Vic.Tas. Additionally, Michael has experience in the banking industry, having held various positions at National Australia Bank, including Head of Mobile Financial Planning and State Manager. Michael began their career as a Business Development Manager at AMP. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a commitment to driving strategic initiatives.
Michael Hallas has a Certificate III in Aged Care from TAFE NSW, obtained in 2014. Michael also has a Graduate Diploma of Business in Accounting from Deakin University, obtained in 1991. In addition, they hold a Bachelor of Business Management in Marketing and Economics from QUT (Queensland University of Technology), obtained in 1987. Prior to their tertiary education, they attended Marist College Ashgrove. Michael Hallas has also obtained additional certifications such as the COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Worker) Compliance from the Australian Government in 2021, a National Police Check from Fit 2 Work, and a Working with Children Check from the Department of Justice and Regulation, Victoria.

Better Health Network (or BHN) is a not-for-profit community healthcare organisation providing a wide range of integrated health, wellbeing and support services to communities across the inner-south and south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We exist to deliver accessible health and wellbeing services that meet the needs of our diverse communities and use our influence to create positive change. With a workforce of more than 1,000 employees and volunteers, we provide a wide range of services to support healthy living, general wellbeing and social connection to more than 600,000 people through 20+ sites. These include specialist medical services, dental and allied health, nursing, gamblers’ help and counselling services, as well as aged care social supports and NDIS disability services.
