Amanda Fischer

Amanda Fischer is an experienced policy professional currently serving as the Policy Director and COO at Better Markets since March 2025, where oversight of policy initiatives is a primary responsibility. Prior to this role, Amanda held positions at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from June 2021 to January 2025, including Chief of Staff and Senior Counselor to the Chair, focusing on staff management and advisory support. Amanda also served as Policy Director at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth and participated as a volunteer member on the Biden-Harris Transition Team, concentrating on federal financial regulatory policy. Additionally, Amanda worked as Chief of Staff in the U.S. House of Representatives, establishing an office for a freshman Congresswoman. Amanda holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy Analysis from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Public Policy from the University at Buffalo.
