Joonas Ariva

Joonas Ariva is an AI Researcher at Better Medicine since January 2023 and a PhD Student at the Biomedical Computer Vision Lab of the University of Tartu since October 2022. Ariva has been a Data Scientist at STACC since February 2021, focusing on research and consulting, data pipelines, data visualizations, and machine learning model training. Previous roles include a Data Science Intern and Teaching Assistant at the University of Tartu, alongside military service as a Team Leader in the Estonian Defense Forces. Ariva has also contributed to education as a Teacher for a "Tudeng koolitundi" program and as an instructor for physics workshops and a Python course at the University of Tartu. Ariva holds a Master of Science in Data Science and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Tartu.
