Oleksandr Maksymets is an accomplished AI researcher with extensive experience, particularly at Meta Superintelligence Labs and FAIR. At Meta, Oleksandr served as the lead architect for a large-scale vision-language encoder for Llama, achieving state-of-the-art accuracy on ImageNet, and designed a robust contrastive pre-training pipeline. Previous roles include foundational work in embodied AI at FAIR, where Oleksandr built and pre-trained the 'Visual Cortex' backbone, significantly enhancing performance in Realistic PointNav.
