Rainer Hoenig

Rainer Hoenig has a wealth of work experience spanning from 1995 to 2018. Rainer began their career as a Project Manager at Daewoo Motor Engineering GmbH in 1995. In 1996, they moved on to become an Engineering Leader at BMW Rolls-Royce GmbH. From 2000 to 2009, they worked at Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd. & Co. KG, starting as an Engineering & Program Leader and later as a Sector and Group Functional Leader. In 2013, they became a Business Leader Energy Sector at Rolls-Royce Powersystems AG. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Rolls-Royce Deutschland Ltd. & Co. KG as a Board Member and Program Leader. In 2016, they became a Coach at Climate-KIC. In 2017, they became an Impact Angel Investor at Heartbeat Investments GmbH. Finally, in 2018, they founded and became the Managing Director of betteries, a modular and multipurpose power system.

Rainer Hoenig obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Aeronautik und Astronautik/Raumfahrttechnik from the Technical University of Munich. Rainer also holds a Promotion (PhD) certification.
