Cheryl E. has worked in a variety of roles in the education field since 1979. Cheryl began their career as a TV Journalist in Boston, Dallas, New Haven, and Providence. In 1997, they became the Director for Education and Research at the New Bedford Oceanarium. In 2005, they took on the role of Curriculum Director at Atlantis Charter School. In 2012, they joined the faculty at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth as a Master Mentor Evaluator and Mentoring In Action. In 2013, they began working for BetterLesson and has held several roles including Solution Design, Professional Learning, Director of Curriculum & Internal Training, Director of Curriculum and Educational Leadership, Director of Curriculum, School Culture & Student Engagement, Instructional Coach, Senior Manager of Solution Design, Instructional and Personalized Learning Coach, Senior Manager of Services (Curriculum), Instructional and Personalized Learning Coach, Instructional Coach for PersonalizedPD, and Science Master Teacher Project Coach and Lead Math Coach.

Cheryl E. has an extensive educational background. Cheryl obtained a B.A. & B.A. in Philosophy & Political Science from New England College in 1978. Cheryl then went on to complete an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Bridgewater State University in 2011. Cheryl also holds several certifications, including a Master Mentor Evaluator from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (2012), Educator Effectiveness and Evaluation from WestEd (2011), Project Read: Phonics from Language Circle Enterprises (2011), Responsive Classroom (Teacher) from the New England Foundation for Children (2010), Responsive Classroom Administrator (Evaluator) from the New England Foundation for Children (2010), ADD+Vantage/MR Level I and Level II from Math Recovery (2008), and a Sheltered English Immersion Teacher Endorsement from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MA DESE).
