Mychal Campos has a comprehensive and diverse work experience in the finance and investment industry. Mychal started their career as a Research Associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where they supported economists in conducting research for publication. After that, they worked as a Senior Research Analyst at Dix Hills Partners, specializing in developing and implementing model-driven trading strategies, particularly in sovereign debt and futures markets.

Mychal then transitioned to the role of Senior Quantitative Analyst at GE Capital, where they leveraged predictive models and databases to develop risk management analytics for the Energy Financial Services credit portfolio. Mychal also automated reporting and analysis processes, significantly improving efficiency.

In 2012, Mychal joined CLS Bank International as the Director of the Quantitative Analysis Group, where they built an analytics team and provided quantitative expertise for various corporate initiatives. Mychal extracted business intelligence from trading and settlement data to guide strategic decision-making.

Mychal later joined Betterment as a Lead Quantitative Portfolio Manager, leading the construction and optimization of the company's core portfolios. Mychal also developed a prototype for flexible portfolios, allowing customers to customize their allocations.

Mychal then served as the Director of Investments at Stash Invest, where they led cross-functional teams in developing product solutions to enhance the financial advice quality and user experience for Stash's customers.

Following that, they joined Kindur as the Director of Product, responsible for establishing company priorities, developing dashboards for business intelligence, and delivering insights to stakeholders.

Most recently, Mychal returned to Betterment as the Head of Investing, taking the lead in overseeing and managing the company's investment strategies.

Throughout their career, Mychal has consistently demonstrated their expertise in quantitative analysis, portfolio management, product development, risk management, and strategic decision-making.

Mychal Campos completed a Master's degree in Computational Finance and Risk Management from the University of Washington from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they studied Mathematics in Finance at New York University from 2002 to 2003. Mychal earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Reed College, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, Mychal obtained a certification in Intermediate Data Science for Python from DataCamp in January 2018.
