Elise Tjernagel has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In their most recent position as VP of Marketing and GTM Operations at BetterMynd, they played a crucial role in building a teletherapy platform exclusively for higher education. Elise also worked as a Marketing Freelancer at The Ricciardi Group and as a Startup Marketing Consultant, partnering with early-stage B2B startups to develop and expand their marketing strategies.
Prior to that, Elise was the Vice President of Enterprise Marketing at SigFig, a late-stage FinTech startup, where they led the B2B marketing efforts and built the brand for their expanded portfolio of offerings. Elise also served as the Vice President of Marketing & Go-To-Market at Mentor Collective, an EdTech startup, where they leveraged their MBA and B2B SaaS Enterprise selling experience to deliver large-scale mentorship programs.
Before their roles in startups, Elise held positions at MindMax, a higher education enrollment and marketing consultancy, where they served as the Director of Sales and Marketing, and at dunnhumby, a global leader in Customer Data Science, where they worked as the Director of Business Development.
Elise began their career at Year Up, a nonprofit organization, where they held various roles including Development Manager and Foundations and Communications Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for fundraising and communications efforts, building relationships with foundation and corporate donors.
Throughout their career, Elise has demonstrated expertise in marketing, sales, business development, and mentorship programs.
Elise Tjernagel received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts from Gordon College, with a minor in Music (specifically in Piano), in the period from 2004 to 2008. Elise continued their education and obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus in Marketing from Simmons University between 2013 and 2016.
