Jane Alam Jan

Jane Alam Jan has over 12 years of work experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Jane Alam is currently working at BetterOmics as an Engineering Leader. Prior to this, they worked at Uber for 4 years as an Engineering Leader, where they played a key role in architecting Map Services and improving pickup locations. Jane Alam also worked at LinkedIn as a Senior Software Engineer for 3 years and at Google as a Software Engineer for 1 year. Jane has also founded and served as an advisor for LightOJ, a platform for programmers to develop problem-solving skills. Additionally, they worked as a Lecturer at AIUB, coaching students and teaching computer science topics. Jane Alam began their career as a Software Engineer at Structured Data Systems Limited. Jane has a strong background in programming, problem-solving, and leadership.

Jane Alam Jan obtained their Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Dhaka from 2009 to 2011. Before that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same university from 2004 to 2009. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Jane attended Notre Dame College from 2001 to 2003. Jane Alam completed their high school education at DRMC - Dhaka Residential Model College from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, Jane has obtained certifications in Functional Programming Principles in Scala and Machine Learning from Coursera in June 2014 and May 2014, respectively.
