Chris Doktor has extensive experience in the engineering field, specializing in stress and dynamics analysis. Chris began their career in 1996 as a Senior Engineer at The Boeing Company, where they performed dynamics analysis and trained astronauts and cosmonauts in data acquisition equipment. From 1999 to 2001, they worked as an Engineer III at Jacobs Sverdrup, focusing on projects related to space shuttle main engines and international space station payloads. Doktor then joined Harley-Davidson Motor Company in 2001 as a Technical Staff Engineer, where they developed advanced dynamometers for motorcycle powertrain testing and provided technical guidance to a team of engineers and technicians. In 2009, they joined Frontier Technology as a Senior Analyst, responsible for developing pattern recognition algorithms for automated health monitoring of electro-mechanical systems. Chris later served as Principal Analyst at Frontier Technology from 2011 to 2013. Since 2014, Doktor has been working as a Stress Engineer at Bevilacqua Research Corporation.
Chris Doktor obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Virginia Tech from 1988 to 1993. Subsequently, they pursued further education at Virginia Tech and obtained a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) from 1993 to 1996. Their academic focus throughout their education was on Mechanical Engineering.
