Guillaume De Smedt

Guillaume De Smedt has worked in a variety of roles over the years. In 2001, they began as a Technician at Comspec, where they installed, repaired, maintained and programmed two-way radio equipment on a component level. In 2008, they completed an internship as a Maintenance Expert at Mercedes-Benz AG, where they were exposed to all technologies in the workshop. In 2009, they worked as an Electronic Design Engineer at One Digital Media, where they were responsible for the design of all electronic equipment. In 2011, they founded Joojooberry. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Student Lecturer at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and as a Visiting Lecturer at the SAE Institute. In 2013, they began working at Startup Grind, first as a Global Community Manager, then as the Cape Town Chapter Director, and finally as the VP Global Community. In 2020, they began working as a Product Manager at Bevy, where they apply their years of experience building one of the largest independent entrepreneurial communities in the world to a fast growing enterprise SaaS business.
