Annette DeRoux is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in appraisal and training. At Bexar Appraisal District since October 2007, Annette has served as a Senior Support Specialist for Agricultural and Rollbacks, as well as a Residential Appraiser. Prior to this role, Annette was involved with the American Red Cross from 1994 to 2010, where Annette progressed from an Instructor/Instructor Trainer to a CPR/FA Instructor Trainer. Annette holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Phoenix, completed between 2011 and 2013, and has also attended Monterey Bay Academy and San Antonio College.

Appraisal Districts were established in each county in Texas in 1981 to appraise each property at fair market value as of January 1 of each year for ad valorem tax purposes. The Appraisal District is governed by a Board of Directors who appoints the Chief Appraiser to serve as the chief administrator of the appraisal office.
