Rogelio Sandoval has extensive experience in the appraisal industry, currently serving as Chief Appraiser at Bexar Appraisal District since September 2012, after holding positions as Assistant Chief Appraiser and Regional Supervisor. Prior to this, Rogelio worked as a Residential Appraiser at Cameron Appraisal District from November 1998 to May 2003 and as a Mortgage Specialist at Bexar County Tax Office from January 1990 to May 1994. Educational background includes an Associate's Degree in Real Estate from San Antonio College and studies at The University of Texas-Pan American and Pharr-San Juan-Alamo.

Appraisal Districts were established in each county in Texas in 1981 to appraise each property at fair market value as of January 1 of each year for ad valorem tax purposes. The Appraisal District is governed by a Board of Directors who appoints the Chief Appraiser to serve as the chief administrator of the appraisal office.
