Zafar Rafiq

Zafar Rafiq is a Corporate & Restructuring Partner at Bexley Beaumont, an award-winning boutique law firm, since June 2024. With extensive experience in corporate restructuring and financial advisory roles, Zafar has served as Director at Venture Capital since December 2011 and at Venture Legal since September 2010, providing funding and legal solutions to distressed businesses. Zafar has also been a freelance lecturer at BPP Professional since March 2015, sharing expertise in venture capital and business law. Previous positions include Partner at DWF, Senior Associate at Gateley, and roles at DLA Piper, where foundational experience in banking and corporate restructuring was gained. Zafar has contributed to academia as a part-time lecturer in Corporate Law at both The University of Manchester and The University of Sheffield. Zafar holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Hons from The University of Sheffield and an LSF from Chester College of Law.
