Amy Butterfield

Amy Butterfield, CMP, CIS has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Amy began their career at Marriott La Jolla as a Senior Catering Manager in 1987. Amy then moved on to Hyatt La Jolla, where they served as the Associate Director of Catering & Convention Services from 1991 to 2006. During this time, they also worked at Hyatt Hotels as the Director of Catering & Conference Services from 1991 to 2006. In 1999, they joined Hyatt Regency La Jolla as the Director of Catering & Convention Services. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at The Grand Del Mar as a National Sales Manager. Amy then joined Associated Luxury Hotels International as the Director of Sales for the ALHI West Region, where they focused on business development in Southern California. Amy worked in this role from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, they joined Preferred Hotels & Resorts as the Senior Director of Group Sales - Midwest & Incentive and held this position until 2019. Amy was then promoted to the role of Senior Vice President, Global Sales - Group at Preferred Hotels & Resorts and continues to hold this position. In 2021, they joined Beyond Green as the Senior Vice President, Global Sales - Group.

Amy Butterfield, CMP, CIS has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a focus on Soviet/US Relations & Diplomacy from the University of California, Berkeley, which they obtained from 1983 to 1985. Prior to that, they also completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wellesley College from 1981 to 1983. Amy attended La Jolla High School from 1980 to 1981. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in "Communicating Across Cultures" from LinkedIn and "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging" also from LinkedIn.
