Cyber Security Engineer at Beyond Limits

Ismael Montanez has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Ismael began their career in the United States Army as a Military Intelligence Sergeant, where they handled classified information and was responsible for force protection training and intelligence analysis. After leaving the army, Ismael worked at Amscot Financial, starting as a Technical Solutions Manager, overseeing ATM programming, installation, and system support. Ismael then transitioned to the IT Help Desk, where they co-led the department and provided support to the organization's branches. Ismael also worked as a Desktop Engineer and Linux Administrator, responsible for automation scripts and system maintenance. In 2019, they joined Beyond Limits as a Cloud and System Engineer, assisting with internal projects and DevOps tasks. Ismael's most recent role is as a Cyber Security Engineer, where they focus on reinforcing the company's cybersecurity mission statement and policies and provides assistance with protective methods and penetration testing reports. Throughout their career, Ismael has consistently demonstrated strong technical skills and a commitment to problem-solving and supporting the IT infrastructure.

Ismael Montanez completed a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Forensics in Information Security from Keiser University between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2006, they earned another Bachelor's degree from Atlantic University College Puerto Rico, with a field of study focused on Web Page, Digital/Multimedia and Information Resources Design. Before their time at Atlantic University College Puerto Rico, Ismael attended the University of Puerto Rico-Carolina from 2001 to 2003, but it is not specified if they obtained a degree in that period. Their field of study at the University of Puerto Rico-Carolina was related to Print Press / Communications.
