Stephanie Chang

Stephanie graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Global Poverty and Practice. During undergrad, she served as a grievance caseworker, then grievance division director, for the Student Advocate’s Office at UC Berkeley. At the Student Advocate’s Office, Stephanie supported students facing concerns related to disability status, harassment, and/or discrimination, among other things. She also co-created a direct-to-student fund to provide grants for out-of-pocket healthcare costs for students with disabilities and financial need. Through this work, Stephanie became passionate about advocating for equitable access for students with intersectional and historically underrepresented identities, as well as uplifting student voices against institutional and structural barriers. She hopes to continue working in one-on-one support services through her role at Beyond 12 and eventually earn her MSW.
