Marc-Anthony Bauer

Marc-Anthony Bauer is a Computational Linguist currently employed at BeyondWords since January 2023. Prior experience includes the role of ML Research Engineer at Aflorithmic from March 2022 to August 2022, where key achievements involved developing a flexible search engine for TTS voices, creating a program for personalized children's audiobooks, and implementing a microservice for text normalization. Previously, Marc-Anthony served as a Research Engineer Intern at Aflorithmic in late 2021 and worked as an IT Support Specialist at Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München from July 2018 to July 2019, managing IT infrastructure and translating website content. An early role as an Interpreter for Sigma-Aldrich in late 2017 involved facilitating communication regarding SAP systems between German and English-speaking teams. Marc-Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science in Computational Linguistics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and has participated in student exchange programs in Computer Science at National Chengchi University and The University of Hong Kong.
