Simmona Coelho, MSPH, currently serves as an International Science Teacher at BFITS Thailand, beginning in October 2024. Prior experience includes positions as an Analyst at Acsel Health and Graduate Research Assistant at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where significant research on HIV PrEP messaging in South Africa was conducted and presented at AIDS 2022. Simmona Coelho also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for courses related to adolescent health and a Director of Case Competitions at the Johns Hopkins Graduate Consulting Club. Research endeavors in Ceará, Brazil, focused on maternal and child health outcomes under the Johns Hopkins Center for Global NCD Research and Training. Simmona Coelho co-founded KS ConnectHub, a platform aimed at enhancing COVID relief efforts, and has held various roles, including Clinical Research Intern and Global Health Representative, while gaining a Master of Science in Public Health from Johns Hopkins and a Bachelor of Science Honours from Queen's University.
