Alden Buttle

Alden Buttle, C-Tech, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technical management and energy solutions. Currently serving as the National Technical Manager at BGIS since April 2022, Alden previously managed mechanical systems and maintenance planning at The Ottawa Hospital from October 1997 to October 2021, overseeing a large team for maintenance operations on a 2.3 million square foot campus. Alden co-owned and operated 1000 Islands Energy Solutions from 2013 to 2016, focusing on solar system installations for marine vessels and off-grid applications, while also handling business budgeting, customer service, and design responsibilities. Earlier professional experience includes ownership and operation of Brockville Air Design, a heating and air conditioning business from 1992 to 1996. Alden holds education from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology.
