Kelly Javier

Director, Audit at BGIS

Kelly Javier has a diverse work experience, starting in 2002 with IBM Canada Ltd., where they held various roles such as Senior Financial Analyst, Business Controls Analyst, and Senior Accountant until 2012. In their roles, they demonstrated skills in forecasting, driving profitability, reducing spending, analyzing non-compliance issues, providing recommendations, and streamlining processes. Kelly then joined York Region Rapid Transit Corporation (vivaNext) as a Business Analyst from 2012 to 2015. Since 2015, Kelly has been with BGIS, where they have held positions such as Quality Analyst, Corporate Quality Manager, Senior Corporate Quality Manager, Senior Manager of Audit & Risk, and most recently, Director of Audit. Their experience in BGIS includes managing quality processes, overseeing audits, and providing strategic direction in risk management.

Kelly Javier received an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Management and Economics from the University of Toronto. In 2016, Kelly completed courses in Quality Management Systems, Management Systems Auditing, and Leading Management Systems Audit Teams at SGS Academy (Exemplar Global). In 2021, Kelly obtained a certification in Risk Management from BSI Training Academy and in 2022 obtained a Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from BGIS. In 2023, Kelly attended the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies to study Internal Auditing Standards.
