Shyam Shivakumar

Shyam Shivakumar is a Building Services Consultant at BGIS since March 2024, with prior experience as a Sustainability Engineer at ClearVue Technologies Limited from August 2022 to March 2024. Shyam's earlier roles include an internship at Powerlyt focusing on cable and protection sizing for Stand-Alone Power Systems, and a Graduate Engineering Trainee position at Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd in the electrical testing department. Additionally, Shyam worked as a Graduate Apprentice Trainee at the Agency For Non Conventional Energy & Rural Technology, where contributions included inspections and feasibility checks for domestic solar panel installations. A brief apprenticeship at the Kerala State Electricity Board focused on relay testing at a 110kV substation and Shyam also gained industrial training experience at NTPC. Shyam holds a Master's degree in Renewable and Sustainable Energy from Murdoch University and a Bachelor’s degree from TKM College of Engineering. Education began at Sarvodaya Central Vidyalaya followed by the Indian School in Al Ain.
