Patrick van Lier

Patrick Van Lier has over three decades of experience in the financial and banking sector, currently serving as the Head of Risk Management & Conduct for Wealth Management at BGL BNP Paribas since April 2005. In this role, Patrick oversees permanent control and operational risk, as well as conduct and support for new product development and exceptional transactions. Previously, Patrick held the position of Chief Operating Officer for Private Banking at the same institution, managing client services, discretionary management, and project management. Earlier career roles include leading Back-Office and Credit Services for Private Banking and project management within organizational development. Patrick began their professional journey in marketing and communications at Soudometal and has a background in management and financial education from Ichec Brussels Management School and Université catholique de Louvain.
