Maria Leighton

Maria Leighton has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Maria has held various financial roles in different companies. From 1998 to 1999, they worked as an Investment Accountant at RSA. Maria then joined Aviva in 1999 and held multiple positions including Senior Finance Manager, Head of Performance Reporting, and Head of Planning and Forecasting (Global) until 2013. From 2013 to 2017, Maria worked at Engage Mutual Assurance as Group Financial Controller and Finance Director. Maria then moved on to Rural Insurance as Finance Director from 2015 to 2017. In 2020, they joined Covéa Insurance as Chief Financial Officer until 2022. Currently, Maria Leighton is serving as the Chief Financial Officer at BGL Insurance since 2022. Additionally, in 2017, they co-founded XMSolutions and serves as a Director.

Maria Leighton attended the University of Liverpool from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Geography.
