Dan Greenwood

Dan Greenwood has an extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Dan is currently serving as the Senior Vice President at BGR Group, a bipartisan lobbying firm. Prior to this, they were a member of the Board of Advisors at Common Mission Project.

From 2019 to 2021, they worked at the United States Department of Defense-Headquarters Marine Corps as the Director for Indo-Pacific Strategy and Posture. In this role, they managed an $8.7 billion program and coordinated construction projects.

Before that, Dan held multiple positions at The White House Office of Legislative Affairs, including Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Director for White House Legislative Affairs. Dan also served as the Senior Director for Legislative Affairs at the National Security Council.

Dan has a military background, having served as the Commanding Officer of 2d Marines / SPMAGTF-CR-AF at the United States Marine Corps and as the Head of Congressional Affairs at US Congress-United States Marine Corps. Dan also worked at the Joint Staff, Middle East Directorate (The Pentagon) as the Director of Strategic Plans and Policy.

Dan Greenwood is a graduate student of National Defense University's National War College. Dan also served as the Commanding Officer of 3rd Battalion 9th Marines at the United States Marine Corps and as a Future Operations Planner at II Marine Expeditionary Force.

Dan Greenwood attended the United States Naval Academy from 1988 to 1992, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. In 2005, they enrolled in the Command & Staff College at Marine Corps University and completed their Masters of Military Studies in 2006. The following year, from 2006 to 2007, they pursued a Masters of Operational Studies at Marine Corps University's School of Advanced Warfighting. In 2010, Dan joined the National War College and obtained a Masters of Science degree in National Security Studies in 2011.
