Krishnan Iyer has a strong and extensive work experience in various companies and roles within the manufacturing industry. Krishnan started their career as a Junior Engineer at Mahindra & Mahindra in 1991 and worked there until 1996. Krishnan then joined Cummins India as a Divisional Manager Shop Operations, where they worked for ten years. In 2006, they moved to Ashok Leyland as the Deputy General Manager - Manufacturing. After two years, they joined Mahindra & Mahindra again as the Vice President - Manufacturing & Plant Manager, a role they held for three years. Krishnan then became the Senior General Manager - Operations & Plant Head at Mahindra & Mahindra from 2011 to 2015. After that, they joined JCB as the Vice President Operations and held the position until 2020. Their most recent position was at Schwing Stetter India, where they served as the Director Operations from 2020 to 2022. Currently, they are working at Bharat Forge Ltd as the President & Chief Operating Officer.
Krishnan Iyer completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune from 1987 to 1991. Additionally, they obtained various certifications throughout their career, including the Global Program for Management Development from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business in 2011, Finance for Non Finance Executives from XLRI Jamshedpur in 2004, Six Sigma Green Belt from Cummins Inc. in 2003, and other certifications related to quality management systems and auditing.
