Somesh Mahajan

Somesh Mahajan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the insurance and technology sectors. Somesh started their career in 2002 as a Territory Manager at Data Access India Ltd and later worked as a Channels Sales Manager at HCL Infosystems Ltd. In 2003, they joined TATA AIG General Insurance Co. Ltd, where they held multiple roles and eventually became the Vertical Head (Agency) for Commercial Lines and Composite Business in Delhi NCR. Mahajan then moved to ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company in 2008 as an Associate Regional Manager, responsible for sales through the Direct Sales Channel. From 2010 to 2017, they worked at Max Life Insurance Company Limited, starting as an AVP & Head of Share of Wallet, Collections, and Persistency, then progressing to Vice President & Head of the Agency Associate Program, and later becoming the VP & Zone Head of Agency Strategic Initiatives in the North Zone. Most recently, Mahajan has been working at Exide Life Insurance, where they held various roles including Vice President & Head of the Agency Manager Channel, Vice President of Sales Strategy & Support, and Senior Vice President of Sales Strategy, Sales Support, and Digital Enablement. Somesh is currently working as the SVP & Head of Distribution Strategy (Proprietary Channels) at Bharti AXA Life Insurance.

Somesh Mahajan attended College of Vocational Studies from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Vocational Marketing with a focus on Economics, Retail Management, Business Law, Political Science, and English Literature. During the same period, they also attended NIS Sparta and earned a GNIS A diploma in Sales & Marketing, specializing in Marketing, Sales, and Management. In 2019, Somesh completed the Top Agent Program at Kinder Brothers International. In 2012, they participated in the Professional Patterns of Management program at the same institution, focusing on Management & Leadership. Prior to college, Somesh attended Green Fields Public School from 1984 to 1996.
