Outreach Medical Case Manager | HIV Team at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program

Flo Ugoagwu has a diverse work experience ranging from healthcare to research and advocacy. They started their career in 2018 as a Home Health Aide at Right at Home, LLC., providing support to individuals in need of personal care. In 2019, Flo worked as a Personal Care Attendant at MassHealth for a brief period.

In the same year, Flo joined the Neuroscience Movement Lab as a Research Intern, where they contributed to various research projects until 2021. Additionally, Flo took on a leadership role as the Northeastern Chapter President at the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston from 2019 to early 2021, demonstrating their commitment to mentoring and community engagement.

In 2020, Flo worked as an Outpatient PT Aide at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, further expanding their healthcare experience. They also gained a valuable writing consultant role at Northeastern University's Writing Center from 2018 to 2021.

Most recently, in 2022, Flo joined the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program as an Outreach Medical Case Manager, specializing in HIV care. Overall, Flo's work experience reflects their passion for healthcare, research, mentorship, and advocacy.

Flo Ugoagwu attended Northeastern University from 2018 to 2024, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences. In addition to their academic pursuits, Flo also obtained various certifications. In June 2019, they obtained a certification as a Personal Care Attendant from Right at Home, LLC. Flo also obtained a certification in Adult, Child, and Infant First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross in June 2020. Furthermore, in March 2021, Flo obtained a certification in Biomedical Responsible Conduct of Research from the CITI Program, A Division of BRANY.
