Rosa Diaz has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rosa began their career as a Dietary Aide at Wingate Healthcare in 2017, where they ensured resident satisfaction and adherence to dietary restrictions. In 2018, they worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Rhode Island, providing assistance and grading assignments for the Psychology 200 course.
In 2019, Rosa held two positions at the University of Rhode Island, serving as a Peer Ambassador and as a Taiwan Summer Institute Student Coordinator/Counselor. In these roles, they connected with international undergrads and exchange students, promoted study abroad programs, and organized recreational activities and excursions.
During the same year, Rosa also interned as a Behavior Technician at Applied Behavioral Interventions, implementing treatment plans for clients and complying with agency policies and regulations.
From 2020 to 2023, Rosa joined Lifespan, where they worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor and then as a Case Worker Outreach. In these positions, they provided evidence-based treatment, care coordination, and support services to individuals with severe mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders. Rosa also conducted assessments, offered counseling, facilitated intake activities, and managed a caseload of clients.
Currently, Rosa is a Care Coordinator at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, a role they started in 2023.
Rosa Diaz pursued their education at the University of Rhode Island from 2015 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Health Studies and Psychology. In addition to their academic achievements, they also obtained certifications in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED from the YMCA of the USA's National Resource Office in December 2018 and became Mental Health First Aid Certified at the University of Rhode Island in September 2019.
