Jia Chen

Jia Chen is a Production Project Engineer at BHP, with experience dating back to February 2021, leading continuous improvement projects in production and drill & blast operations, managing operational risks, and overseeing production reporting and finance. Previous roles at BHP include Drill and Blast Supervisor and multiple Graduate Engineer positions focused on various aspects of mining, such as drill and blast design, mine ventilation planning, and underground production project management. Jia has also completed an internship as a Mine Geology Intern at Olympic Dam Mine and has prior experience in retail and service sectors. Jia holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Petroleum and a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Adelaide, along with additional engineering qualifications from institutions in Norway and Vietnam.
