Patricia Vieira

Patricia Vieira is currently serving as the VP Tax Americas at BHP since October 2022, following a decade-long tenure at BHP Billiton where Patricia held the position of Manager Tax Americas - Advisory. Patricia's earlier experience includes working as a Tax Manager at Thyssenkrupp Companhia Siderúrgica do Atlântico, where responsibilities included implementing the tax area during the start-up phase, overseeing indirect taxes and customs, and negotiating tax benefits with various authorities. Prior to that, Patricia was a Tax Consultant at PwC, coordinating projects related to tax planning and corporate structuring, with a focus on clients in the mining and oil and gas sectors. Patricia holds multiple advanced degrees in taxation, including a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from both New York University School of Law and Universidade Federal Fluminense.
