Helena Brigas

Helena Brigas is a Global Medical Affairs Specialist at BIAL, focusing on Parkinson's Disease since June 2020. Helena has extensive experience as a Medical Science Liaison, both at the national and regional levels, where responsibilities include establishing peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), gathering insights, supporting clinical trials, implementing medical strategies, and collaborating with marketing. Prior to joining BIAL, Helena was a PhD candidate and researcher in Neurosciences and Immunology at the Instituto de Medicina Molecular and participated in a collaboration at Inserm's Alzheimer & Tauopathies Laboratory. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Neuroimmunology from the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa and a Master's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the Universidade do Porto.
