Juawn Jackson, Ed.D. currently serves as the Director of the Educational Opportunity Center at Mercer University, overseeing a federal TRIO project that supports over ten counties in Middle Georgia. In addition to this role, Juawn Jackson is a Board Member and 2023 Board President of the Bibb County School District. Past experience includes serving as a Program Coordinator for the U.S. Department of Education's Alpha Phi Alpha Educational Talent Search, where responsibilities included coordinating college and career programming for over 680 students annually. Further roles encompass being a Mentor Relationship Specialist with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, various leadership positions within Georgia College & State University, and progressing through positions from Summer Camp Counselor to Office Clerk at multiple institutions. Juawn Jackson holds an Executive Doctorate in Higher Education Management from The University of Georgia, a Master’s in Higher Education Leadership from Mercer University, and a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Government from Georgia College & State University.
