Rasha Elghandour

Rasha Elghandour has extensive experience in library and information services, having worked at Bibliotheca Alexandrina from November 2003 to September 2022 in various leadership roles. As Acting Head of E-Reference Services Unit, Rasha oversaw e-services provided to the public, including the management of databases and preparation of reports. Rasha also served as Acting Head of Current Awareness and Selective Dissemination of Information Unit, focusing on user database updates and bibliographic content creation. In addition, Rasha managed reference desk operations and training as Head of Generalities Unit and assessed excellence during a seasonal role as Organisational Excellence Assessor for the Egypt Government Excellence Award. Rasha's expertise extends to database management and acquisitions, demonstrated through the role of Database Specialist. Furthering professional development, Rasha completed a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing at the Digital Marketing Institute in 2022 and earned a Master in Quality Management from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, where research focused on library service quality and user satisfaction.
