Luís Pereira has a diverse work experience starting from 2012. Luís began as a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, assisting students with low-level software development. In 2013, they continued in the same role, focusing on the Computers Laboratory course unit.

In 2014, Luís worked as a Student Researcher at the same institution, contributing to the development of a distributed Multi-Agent System for Airline Operational Control Centers. This involved using optimization and learning algorithms for disruption management.

Following this, Luís joined SAPO Labs FEUP in 2015 as a Master's Thesis Researcher. Luís proposed and developed a new clustering algorithm for TweeProfiles, a data mining tool for Twitter analysis. Luís also designed clustering evaluation measures for this project.

During the same year, they co-founded Virtusai, where they served as the CTO. Luís held this position until 2019, gaining valuable experience in leadership and technical decision-making.

From 2019 to 2020, Luís worked as a Lead Software Engineer at YGroup Companies, further enhancing their technical skills and contributing to software development projects.

Luís Pereira completed their Master's degree in Informatics and Computing Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto. Luís attended this school from 2010 to 2015.
