George Kanakaris

George Kanakaris is an experienced engineer with a focus on process development and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as Principal Process Development Engineer at BIC since October 2016, George has progressed through roles including Senior Process Development Engineer and Blade Process Development Engineer. Prior to BIC, George completed a PhD at the National Technical University of Athens under Dr. L. Alexopoulos, conducting research on modular design for point-of-care immunoassays and developing various laboratory testing systems. Additional experience includes mechanical design engineering roles at NCSR Demokritos, focused on automated point of care devices, and at Zenon Automation SAICT, specializing in engineering design within the R&D department.
