Chris Dix

Chris Dix is an experienced winemaker and educator with a career spanning over two decades in the wine industry. Currently serving as the Group Master Blender and Group Winemaker at Bickford's Australia since December 2012, Chris has also contributed to the National Wine Education Training Centre as a Wine Educator from August 2012 to June 2023. Previously, Chris held the role of Winemaking Consultant at Madeleines Wine Consulting, and was the Owner and Winemaker at Madeleines Wines from 1999 to June 2023, overseeing all aspects from grape sourcing to bottling. Chris also gained valuable experience as a Senior Winemaker at Jim Barry Wines and as Chief Winemaker at Fox Creek Wines, where a notable achievement included crafting the 2004 Reserve Shiraz, awarded SA Wine of the Year in 2006. Chris Dix holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Wine from the University of Adelaide, completed between 1991 and 1993.
