Wouter Swerts

Wouter Swerts has extensive experience in technology strategy and engineering within the telecommunications industry, currently serving as Technology Strategy Lead at BICS since July 2010. Wouter has held multiple roles including Senior Program Manager and Transport Network Engineering Manager, where responsibilities involved leading the Transport Backbone Engineering team, defining strategic objectives, and managing complex network solutions. Notable achievements include significant improvements to BICS's Core IP/MPLS Network and the development of value-added services in close collaboration with various stakeholders. Prior to BICS, Wouter worked at Proximus as a Senior Design Engineer, specializing in next-generation messaging services, and at Philips Brugge as a DSP Designer, focusing on signal processing for television technology. Wouter holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from EHSAL Management School and a Civil Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecom from Ghent University.
