Liuhong Chen

Liuhong Chen is a highly experienced professional in the biotechnology sector, currently serving as Vice President of Platform Innovation and Discovery at Bicycle Therapeutics since June 2011. Prior roles included Director and Group Leader of Discovery, where Liuhong led the Discovery Biology team, managed phage display campaigns, and acted as the lead scientist on partner Joint Project Teams. Liuhong has extensive experience in project management, having initiated and coordinated fee-for-service work at CROs, while also overseeing support staff and ensuring laboratory operations. Prior to Bicycle Therapeutics, Liuhong completed a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, focusing on fragment-based lead discovery and biophysical characterization, following a BA/MSci in Natural Sciences from the same institution.
