Talya Aarons

Talya Aarons is an experienced professional in museum registration and collection management, currently serving as Assistant Registrar at the Biennale of Sydney since September 2023. Previously, Talya held the position of Assistant Registrar Grade 2 (Loans) and Assistant Registrar at the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences from November 2019 to November 2023, where responsibilities included assessing registration requirements for a 500,000-object collection and ensuring compliance with cultural protocols. Talya's background also includes work as an Art Handler at International Art Services, contributing to the relocation and management of diverse artworks and artifacts, as well as an internship at the Sydney Jewish Museum focusing on curatorial processes. Talya holds a Master's in Museum and Heritage Studies from the University of Sydney and has advanced degrees in History and Teaching from the University of New South Wales.
