Drea Mabie is currently a Sourcing Specialist at Big Agnes Inc, focusing on sourcing research and development, new material research, and strategic sourcing planning. Previously, Drea worked as a Sourcing and Supply Chain Assistant at Big Agnes Inc, assisting with material procurement for product development. Experience includes serving as Assistant Manager Ski Rentals at Steamboat Resort, where Drea managed a team to enhance customer experiences, and as a Public Relations Intern at Northern Colorado Clean Cities, organizing educational events on alternative fuels. Drea also contributed to sustainability education as an Education Intern at Education for Sustainability Tasmania and gathered data for alternative transportation initiatives at Colorado State University. Drea holds a degree in Sociology and Economics with an emphasis on Environmental Studies from Colorado State University.

At our core, we want to inspire you to get outside and find the same appreciation for the backcountry we have. In 2001, Big Agnes started without a real plan, but with a mission: Make the best gear possible to help folks like you get outside and chase your dreams. Respected industry vets told us we were crazy, and the camping market was “too saturated”. Still, we were driven to make better gear and be apart of some really cool adventures, so we kept at it. Based in a ski town in northwestern Colorado, our backyard is an outdoor paradise with testing grounds right out our front door. The Continental Divide Trail is home to some of our favorite trails for skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. The Mount Zirkel Wilderness beckons us with its high alpine summits; its highest peak is the inspiration behind the company’s name. A stone’s throw from our office flows the Yampa River. Most lunch hours you’ll find an office quiet enough to hear a pin drop while we’re out finding fresh air or tracks testing the gear you’ll be using for your own adventures.
